Your account now needs a code from an authenticator app each time you sign in.

Open an authenticator app on your phone — Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, 1Password…
Add an account, choose Enter a setup key (or Enter code manually) and type:
Account · Type time-based
Copy key · On this phone? Open in the authenticator app
Enter the 6-digit code the app now shows.

Save your recovery codes

If you lose your phone, each code signs you in once. They will not be shown again — store them in a password manager.
